Law Clerk / Intern Program
The State Office of Administrative Hearings strives to introduce students to the diverse legal work and complex issues handled by the agency through its Law Clerk/Intern Program.
Some schools offer fellowships or stipends to their students who work for government entities during the summer. Students should check with their school for details regarding stipends, hiring criteria, and applicable deadlines. The State Office of Administrative Hearings is also a participating host organization for the University of Texas School of Law Long Career Launch Program.
Applications are accepted year-round, on a rolling basis, and law clerks and interns will be placed, as resources and space permit, throughout the year. Students selected to participate in the Program will work under the direct supervision of an Administrative Law Judge.
Interested students may apply for a law clerk or internship position by submitting a completed application, résumé, unofficial copy of latest school transcript, and writing sample to Human Resources at SOAH.HR@soah.texas.gov.
If you have any questions about the Program, please email Human Resources at SOAH.HR@soah.texas.gov.
