Searching Case Files at SOAH
The State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) uses re:SearchTX as its online tool for searching general docket case files. re:SearchTX is a web-based platform that allows registered users access to an online repository of court case information powered by the state’s e-filing database. Case records for most general docket hearings since March 2020 at SOAH are publicly available at no cost through re:SearchTX.

SOAH case records prior to March 3, 2020 can be requested through an open records request.

For some cases created prior to May 26, 2022 you may find two entries for the same case in re:SearchTX. It appears that one electronic docket includes case records filed prior to May 26, and the other includes records filed after May 26. SOAH has alerted Tyler Technologies/re:SearchTX of the duplicates and they are working to correct the issue by merging the case records into one electronic dataset for each docket. Below is an example of a duplicate entry:

Filers in SOAH general docket cases are required to comply with § 155.101 and § 155.103 of SOAH’s Rules of Procedure to ensure that documents appearing on re:SearchTX are properly filed. SOAH is not responsible for the unauthorized disclosure of confidential information through re:SearchTX that result from the filing party’s failure to properly designate or redact confidential information in accordance with SOAH Rule § 155.103 or the document security requirements of eFileTexas.
