General Information

  • The Austin Headquarters of the State Office of Administrative Hearings is located in the William P. Clements building in downtown Austin.
  • The hearing rooms are located on the fourth floor of the building.
  • Please refer to the hearing rooms map to locate your respective hearing room.
  • For non-hearing agency appointments, please go to room 504 on the fifth floor.
  • You will be required to check in at the security guard station to gain access to the fourth and fifth floors.
  • Photo identification is required to check in.
  • Visitors to SOAH are not permitted to bring a weapon to SOAH courtrooms or offices except as authorized by SOAH’s Weapons Policy.

Parking Information

  • There is no free visitor parking available at the William P. Clements building.
  • There are several pay parking garages and surface lots in the area.
  • There is also metered and unmetered on-street parking in the area.
  • Please note that a permit is required to park in the parking garage connected to the building. Violators will be ticketed.

For Lactating/Breastfeeding Mothers:

SOAH is committed to providing a supportive, respectful, and comfortable environment for lactating mothers. In accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code 165.002, SOAH recognizes a mother’s right to breastfeed her baby or express breast milk in any location in which the mother is otherwise authorized to be. SOAH’s Austin office is pleased to offer its private, secure lactation room to visitors for this purpose, located on the fifth floor of the William P. Clements building. If you would like to reserve the lactation room for your visit to SOAH, please contact our Human Resources Department by email at SOAH.HR@soah.texas.gov or by phone at 512.737.2045.
